Memorial Day Ride!

Memorial Day Ride!

This Monday is Memorial Day, May 31st so lets ride!  Meet at the Northeast corner of Central and Camelback (Applebees parking lot – same place where the Thanksgiving ride meets).  Clipped in and rolling at 6:30 a.m..  Neutral to South Mountain but as soon as we go through the gate and hit the climb, all bets are off and let the hammer fest begin!  We will regroup at the VERY top and then neutral back down to the bottom where we will regroup at the entrance – then neutral back to the parking lot (well maybe some sprint points here and there).  Everyone should be home in time to throw the burgers on the grill.
All skill levels welcome …
See you soon ..

Looking for a great saturday morning ride!

Looking for a great saturday morning ride!

I had the good fortune of jumping in with the West Valley Saturday Ride.

Leaves 6AM from Lifetime Fitness, Litchfield and McDowell.

About 40-50 riders, fast rolling terrain with several sprint sections along the way.

I highly recommend this one! Great group with a good attitude!

Arizona State Criterium Championships May 2nd, 2010

Arizona State Criterium Championships May 2nd, 2010

The Arizona State Criterium Championships are right around the corner and we are looking for some volunteers that will help out with coarse marshaling. It’s a great way to get involved with a relatively easy track side assignment. This is one of the key elements in keeping the coarse safe for racers and spectators.

All we are asking is to fill a two hour slot or even a second one as well. The task is two hours watching a corner or crossing which is pretty simple and does not take much out of your day. If you are racing, we will accommodate you with a time slot that is after your race is completed. That way you can focus on racing first and then help out.

Please send an email to bryanstaub@cox.net if you are interested in volunteering.

For complete Arizona State Criterium Championships details go to www.wmcycling.com
