A recent West Valley Cycle group ride update from Vicki Young:
—————
At the Silk Market in Beijing , David swindles down the Rupees (to only $30) for a thick North Face Jacket, before braving the China Wall in the cold! …Singapore, China, & soon India he travels, learning (or is it, hardly understanding) the language. Making sure he has enough business cards to hand out for the proper way to greet, They are all polite & patient towards Our David! Lowhow (Chinese New Years party) he attends an 8 course meal. Greatest success & prosperity in the upcoming year, goes to the one who literally tosses up their salad (1st course) into the air the highest!
This Saturday, Start Time is 7:30am
Last Saturday’s Ride: Attacks, gaps, breakaways….slowing down, surging, going for the sprints, we had it all! Sean Bell attacking –and with numerous, consistent pulls. Dennis Low mixing it up with the “A” group; Paul Theisen coming back & making the full route! And to no surprise, Matt Duke taking a Monster Pull against the wind, Broadway to Yuma! Even Jeremy Schmuki sporting a tubeless, thick wheeled mountain bike going the distance! WVC rides, you never know what to expect. All is good. Riders in race shape, fer sure … bring it on!
Welcome NEW Riders! J Karen, Brian Sitarz, Keith, Paul Gavel, & Eddie Williams
THANKS to those who Recruited!
GREAT to See BACK Matt Terminel, Mark Kozlowski, Craig Galbasini, Tom (Swiss)
Groups B, C, D.. Let’s together, keep us together. WVC welcomes All. Different routes for different levels. But regrouping at the markets, is fun to “high five” us all and talk the talk! If dropped, meet 1 hr 20 min after the Start time at the Elliot Market; 1 hr later at Bashes in Verrado.
* Also, riding up COTTON can create a stretch of riders. At the top, re-unite!
Back in a group, the more the merrier! Designate your groups’ ride leader, if can.
