“Slow Base Pace” ?? What is that?

  2. Bryan says:

Base miles are moderately paced bike rides that can help you get familiar with your bike when training for competitive cycling. This is where you are building the base for future harder training. This is the begining portion of a seasonal training plan.

    Thank you for replying.

Do you mean 3 or 4 hours _on the bike_ ?? Or 3 or 4 hours with liberal rest stops?

It’s hard for me to imagining new people joining your club, if your rides are starting out at 3 hours?

It’s been fantanstic! a nice group at a slow pace has worked out really well. Last week was around 3 hrs out on the bike including a couple of water stops.
