Last Week: 62 riders. Way cool!
Sprints: Ken won the first two, Did not get an update on the middle two, and *PCCC won Verrado
Ride Notes:
· Thank you all for bringing back the Neutral start, I made a new friend, hope each of you did also.
· In case you ever wonder how fast our A group is, see attached GPS data sheet for last week’s ride. (MPH and elevation graph for full ride). Over 1.5K of climbing and lot’s of +25 mph sections.
· B group highlights included new rider Marty who completed the full ride. Mathew completing the full route in the pack for the first time. I’m always impressed by those who never give up.
· Glenn (Team Progressive) was back with some new material as well as two great new riders Jason and Austin
· Our gal’s dominate. Sally, Amy, Stephanie, Tracy, Vicki, and Heidi
· Joe, Aaron, Ahmad, Matt, Scott, Randy, and both Steve’s had some impressive pulls in the A group and we always appreciate the Colavita team effort. Ken, Leo, Shawn, Ryan, and Justin. They pull the most and make us all stronger.
· And yes, Justin is back from his six month stay in Afghanistan. We’ll call that the highlight of the month.
· The C group is coming. Starting 2/20, Stephanie will lead out a third group, same start time, but abbreviated route. There is a prerequisite for this group, so please email Stephanie for details. stephynew@yahoo.com
Upcoming Races
· This weekend is the biggest race week of the year for Phoenix. Valley of the Sun, 24 hours Old Pueblo, IMS Marathon, 50K at Pemberton.
· We have so many participants in each event. Good luck to all and get out and support!
Race Results: Sally kept our win record going with a 1st in the Runner’s Den 5 mile race. JT made podium also. That’s 7 win’s this year for the west side, but who’s counting.
