Start time for Saturday is 7:30am
Last Week: 18 riders.
Sprints: We’ll skip last week’s sprints due to all the weekend racing. Bonus points for the A group slowing down a notch to let us B group hang to Verrado. Also, loved the Verrado to Lifetime downwind, downhill 27 mph average. Fun!
Ride Notes: The new route does offer some great new hills, but it can be a little confusing the first few times. Especially for the B group. Cut short on WestStar and on the way to end of Estrella. We’ll be ahead of the A group going up Rainbow and can watch them suffer trying to catch us. When in doubt, follow me for the first half or be at the market around 9am. First half take 1.5 hours.
Upcoming Events: Our fellow rider Craig is hosting a free class on biomechanics and injury prevention Feb 4th at Litchfield Library. See attached flyer
Race Results:
· Kathy qualifies for the Airforce World Class Athlete Program. She should be back for a visit in three weeks. Next stop 2012 Olympics!
· Jim Penn won the 2 man single speed division at the MTB race, 12 hours at Temecula
