Just In: Trouble at the Shootout

Just got word of a tough morning at the Shootout. For those that don’t know, the Shootout is Tucson’s premier Saturday morning group ride. Heck, it blows Phoenix’s BOS ride out of the water and in the wintertime is probably the hardest group ride in the country. With that said, we hear there were two significant incidents this morning.

The first involves the more casual paced group that leaves a few minutes before the Shootout rolls out. Apparently, a car drove right through the back of the group seriously injuring a few riders. If you know anyone who rides with this group it may be worth a phone call to see if they’re ok.

The second incident occurred in the sprint coming in Old Nogales. Apparently there was a “large” pile-up with some riders getting injured.

This is all we have at the moment. Please feel free to comment below if you have more accurate or current info.
