Tour of Utah – Final Stage

A final wrap-up from RideClean team director Brock Boring:

It was a beautiful day yesterday. 7000 people filled downtown Salt Lake City. The last day consisted of a fairly fast four right hand one mile course. Rock Racing set tempo from the start to protect Mancebo’s leaders jersey. BMC was active mid-race with Chad Beyer staying away with another rider. That lasted for awhile and set up the counter attack that saw four strong riders. Zabriski, Bookwalter, England & Veilleux. That move lasted a solid twenty minutes until Fly V, Ouch, & Rock Racing turned up the heat to set up a field sprint. John Murphy of Ouch missed the opportunity to shine, wearing his new US Crit Champion jersey. He was bested by Flying V’s National Crit champion Salzburger for the win.
