Just in from RideClean team director Brock Boring:
Busy day yesterday with the prologue starting so late in the day. 6:00pm start time had the team arriving at the host house in beautiful Eden, Utah just before 9:00pm.
The prologue course was just under 3 miles. It started in front of the state Capitol building and climbed right from the start with a nice headwind. After a quick turn around it had riders descending with a tailwind all out. Throw a chicane in and it tested some of the best riders in the country.
Matt Cooke had the best time for RIDECLEAN @ 43rd place.
There’s a little uncertainty in the air from everyone I’ve talked to about the upcoming stages. The climbs are tough, long and to make it worse, at altitude.
After today’s tough two climbs we should see who brought their legs for this Tour of Utah.
Brock
